English into French? In recent years, hardly anyone who took the French test passed it. The problem was reported to the ATA. The justification that was sent to the authors of a letter reporting the problem was condescending and frankly insulting. The people who did not pass were all highly educated, some of them with translation degrees (master and doctorate)! It would be nice to address the problem once and for all.
