Educating government officials and the public about the role of translators, interpreters, and language access in our society is a central part of ATA鈥檚 mission to be 鈥淭he Voice of Interpreters and Translators.鈥 These efforts are led in part by ATA鈥檚 Advocacy Committee, which works on behalf of ATA members鈥攁nd all language professionals for that matter鈥攖o specifically tackle policy and legislative language issues.
