Labels for Translation Output: A Triple Win

August 23 / 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT

Explore the latest ASTM International standards , focusing on the 2023 edition of F2575, which introduces crucial labels for translation output.

These labels distinguish between human translation, machine translation (MT), and post-edited MT, ensuring clarity and reliability in translation quality.

Discover how these labels benefit end users by aiding in risk analysis, assisting MT developers in selecting training data, and enhancing visibility for professional translators. ATA members, including freelance translators, in-house linguists, and translation companies, are encouraged to participate in refining and implementing these labels.

Join us to shape the future of translation standards and ensure quality across the industry.

In this webinar, you will:

  1. Discover the necessity of labels on translation output in the era of AI.
  2. Understand how labels benefit consumers of translation, developers of MT systems, and professional translators alike.
  3. Engage in refining ASTM International’s proposed labels and advocate for their adoption within ATA’s membership.
